HEAD-COACH
Born in Warsaw, Poland, Marian Zakrzewski, has dedicated his life to fencing. He competed for 19 years, becoming a member of the Polish national senior sabre team, competed in the Senior World Championships in 1965 and 1966.

Maitre Zakrzewski has been teaching fencing for 42 years, coaching the Polish Olympic sabre team for the Montreal Olympics in 1976 and the Canadian sabre team for the Seoul Olympics in 1988.

Maitre Zakrzewski's education includes classical, historical and sport fencing at the Academy of Physical Education (University) of Warsaw, where he received his Master's degree and the title of Maitre d'Arms. He also received the Maitre d'Arms title from the Canadian Fencing Masters Academy.

In Canada since 1983, Maitre Zakrzewski, has been coaching at all levels of fencing development,
including many children programs, school programs, university fencing, and club fncing.
