Recreational & Competitive

Novice Fencing                       

After completion of our Beginner courses in fencing (Yellow and Orange) a New Fencers can continue fencing attending Novice Groups. Part of this practice is set up together with fencers from Intermediate and Advanced groups. Novice fencers can start to compete if they choose so, or continue fencing recreationally. Levels for Novice groups: Orange and Green.

Your own basic fencing equipment  is required :  jacket, glove, sword, and mask.

Electric equipment (electric jacket, electric sword, and body cord) will be free for use for the first month. After that your own electric equipment is required.

Intermediate Fencing

Intermediate group is for those who reched Blue Level. Levels for Intermediate fencers: Blue and Brown. Competitive fencers will continue to attend tournaments of their level and recreational fencers will continue their training recreationally.

Advanced Fencing       

After reaching a higher level of technical and tactical skills and reaching Red Level, an Intermediate Fencer will be able to move to Advanced group and practice together with the strongest athletes. This transfer needs coaches' approval. Competitive fencers will continue to attend tournaments of their level and recreational fencers will continue their training recreationally.

High Performance Group

This group is created for high skilled fencers with goals of reaching Canadian National Cadet, Junior, Senior or Olympic Teams. They attend Advanced Fencing practice with possibility of extra training which will suit their needs. They participate in Canadian Circuit tournaments and in international competitions, like North American Circuit, World Cups etc.

The fee in all groups depends on how often you wish to practice:

For 1 session per week it is $74/month, for 2 sessions per week $85/month, for 3 sessions per week $96/month and for unlimited fencing $112/month.

We also have our club membership fee of $30 per year for Juniors (20 and under), and $50 for adults.

Both fees cover all group and individual training (except for the private lessons): Warm-up, Foot-work, Games, Exercises with a partner, Line-up exercises, Exercises on target, and Bouting.  

There is a requirement of actual Ontario Fencing Association and Canadian Fencing Federation membership.
It can be done through the club ($5 OFA + $10 CFF).

For private lessons we charge extra $60 per hour.
