FOIL CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - FINALS
After 10-12 tournaments, 16 highest ranked men and women (from their best 6 tournaments) will fence Finals for Medals and Prizes. A winner of the Finals will be awarded with a Gold Medal and the First Prize. The fencer placed second in the Finals will get a Silver Medal and the Second Prize. Fencers ranked from 3 to 8 will receive Bronze Medals and Prizes accordingly to the final placement. And finally, those ranked from 9 to 16 will also receive Bronze medals.
Separate Medals and Prizes will be given to the best women.
Format: Direct Elimination only: 2 or 3 bouts for 15 points - for each place. Sitting in tableau will depend on the final ranking from 6 best tournaments.
Note: there is a requirement of participating in a minimum of 6 events (excluding Finals) to qualify for the Finals.
Change: due to the lower number of tournaments in the League 2007/2008 (7 only) fencers who participated in 2 or more tournaments will qualify for the Finals.
All fencers should wear complete fencing suits.
